Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (Galatians 3:13).

Sickness and disease were never part of God’s plan for mankind. When He created the garden and placed Adam in it, life was perfect just as God planned it to be; there was no sickness or disease. But because Adam sinned and opened the door to the devil, mankind was subjugated to all that was part of the curse.

Until, that is, Jesus broke the power of the curse when He died on the Cross and rose again, destroying all the power of the devil. This is good news, because sickness and disease no longer have a right to be in your body.

Just as sickness and disease had no right to come on Jesus’ physical body when He walked on the earth, so it has no right to come on your body today. However, the devil will attempt to bring the curse upon your life and he will push you as far as you will allow him to. He will stay as long as you let him.

The devil will not leave you voluntarily—you must evict him from your life! It will be necessary that you tenaciously voice your rights as a child of God, enforce God’s Word against him, and use your faith and the authority Jesus has given you to cast the devil out. Then, speak to that sickness and disease and command it in the name of Jesus to leave.

Jesus paid the price for you to live in freedom from sickness and disease. So stand firm, speak God’s Word, and enjoy the fullness of your redemption from the curse.

Confession: Because Jesus Christ has redeemed me from the curse, I have been set free from all sickness and disease. I am full of the life and power of God.

Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. Matthew 7:24

If you want your deeds to be blessed, if you want to see supernatural results in your life, you’ll have to do more than simply read the Word of God. You’ll have to put it into action.

That’s what I did. Years ago when I realized that God was the One who had the answers to all my problems, that He was the One who could supply all my needs, I committed myself to do everything His Word told me to do. I made a quality decision to step out in faith on every command I saw there.

When I found out, for example, that God’s Word instructed me to tithe, Gloria and I were already trying to stretch what little money we had further than it could possibly go. We were up to our necks in debt! We couldn’t possibly afford to give away 10 percent. But, we did it anyway. We stepped out on faith and kept our commitment to do every command we saw. Before long we began to see financial increase. We’ve been increasing ever since.

Keep on reading and studying the Bible. Listen to teaching tapes. Go to church and hear the Word preached. But don’t stop there. Go one crucial step further by taking the Word you’ve heard and put it into action!

Scripture Reading:

Matthew 7:17-27

“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.” Isaiah 43:25 NLT

I have some extraordinary, good news for you today! Although you and I owed God a sin debt that we could never pay, Jesus has already paid our debt.

Listen closely, my friend, because of who Jesus is and the value of that one Man, the price that He paid for our sins was an overpayment. All the sinners put together cannot compare with the value of that one Man. He overpaid it so much that we need never have the debt on our conscience ever again!

Let me illustrate what I mean. Imagine that you have borrowed $50,000 from a creditor and as time goes by, you find that you cannot possibly ever pay the money back. Then one day, a friend who is a billionaire hears about your debt and gives $1 million to your creditor to pay off your debt.

Now, what has your friend done? Well, because he loves you, he has overpaid your debt to make sure that you will never feel the debt on your heart ever again, and that your creditor has no more reason to harass you to pay your debt.

This is what Jesus has accomplished for you through His finished work on the cross. His payment has wiped out your entire life’s sins—past, present, and future—once and for all!

Perhaps in the past you were not aware of the fullness of this gospel of grace, but now I have conveyed the good news to you. It’s now up to you to believe the message.

You can respond in disbelief, asking, “Are you sure? I’ve owed this debt for such a long time, and now you’re telling me that it’s all paid up?” Or you can shout, “Hallelujah!” and rejoice over this unmerited gift that has cleared your debt of sin completely!

My friend, because Jesus has already paid your sin debt fully, do you know what you are doing each time you allow that debt to remain on your conscience? Every time you are sin-conscious, you are insulting the payment of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are saying that it is not enough. You are saying that the cross is not enough.

And you know what? You are also insulting the One who received the payment for your sin debt. Each time you try to pay off your sin debt that has already been paid, you are saying that God is not satisfied with Jesus’ payment even though the truth is that He is more than satisfied with Jesus’ overpayment. Jesus is the beloved Son of the living God. How can you say that His sacrifice is not enough?

Does it really matter if you condemn yourself and allow your sin debt to remain on your conscience even after Jesus has overpaid it? Yes, it matters, because apart from dishonoring the work of Jesus on the cross, sin-consciousness makes you avoid God and can produce in you condemnation, sicknesses, diseases, depression, and a cycle of sin!

My friend, Jesus, being the Son of God, has overpaid your entire life’s sins—once and for all! Believe the good news and draw near to your Savior today! The Word of God declares to you that you can have “boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus” (Heb. 10:19).

Today, in the face of whatever you need help with, you can draw near to God with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having your heart sprinkled from an evil, sin-stained conscience, and receive His tender mercies, grace, and help for all your needs (Heb. 10:22, 4:16).

Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:26-27 NKJV)

The Word of God is clear about not giving the devil any place in our lives. We open the door to this place of entrance when we allow anger and wrath to cause us to sin. Therefore, we are not to let a day go by without cleansing our hearts of all anger, irritation, and offense against anyone and everyone—no matter how mean or hurtful they may have been to us.

Perhaps you have experienced a hurt of some kind. The size of the hurt doesn’t matter; even the smallest stone of offence can become a stumbling block to your faith and the power of God flowing in your life. That is why it is so important that we learn to forgive.

Jesus said, “Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive your trespasses” (Mark 11:24-25 NKJV).

The Bible is clear here: your faith will not work when you fail to forgive and walk in love. What may begin as a little stone of offence can soon become a big stumbling block to the flow of the power of God.

So make the quality decision today to forgive, and then walk in love. Doing so will close the door on the devil and open the door for God to move in your life in new and exciting ways.

Confession: Holy Spirit, I ask You to search my heart and reveal to me any unforgiveness, anger, or resentment that I have not dealt with. I am determined to humble myself before you, to forgive, and to walk in love toward others. Thank You, Father, for forgiving me and giving me the grace and strength to in turn forgive others.

God wants you to be made whole in every area of your life: spirit, soul, body, financially.

In John 5:1-9, we read an account of a man who had an infirmity for thirty-eight years. When Jesus approached him, He asked the man if he wanted to be made whole. I believe this tells us that just because someone has a sickness (in any area of life) doesn’t mean they are automatically really ready to be free.

Put another way, Jesus was asking, “Will you live above the beggarly elements of this world? Will you be redeemed? Will you be in health? Will you prosper? Will you be fruitful? Will you be blessed?”

It is your decision! Jesus is saying, “I have already made it available. What I want to know is, will you have it?”

Wholeness hinges on your decision.

God has been standing at the throne saying, “Come boldly and obtain all these gifts that I have for you. Will you be above and not beneath? Will you be the head and not the tail? Will you have abundant life? Will you have your household saved? Will you be what I have said in My Word that you can be? Will you have great success?”

What’s your decision? It depends on you.
