How to Pray for the Salvation of Loved Ones

Pastor Hendry Latchman

Remember with God all things are possible. Jesus said in Mark 9:23 “all things are possible to him who believes”. That’s amazing. God will do it if you stand by His words. There are a few things that needs to be done on our part and that is standing in faith on His word in prayer. First, pray that the spiritual eyes of your loved ones are opened when you share the word of God with them so that they respond in a positive way. If you are not able to witness to them, pray that God by the power of the Holy Spirit will send someone across their path to witness about Jesus and pray for them. It’s the God of this age who has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ who is the image of God (2 Corinthians 4:4). According to Matthew 16:19, bind the devil who has blinded their spiritual eyes and command him to leave their mind and stop holding them captive. Then pray that as you witness to them that God by His spirit will open their spiritual eyes to understand the gospel and become born again.

There is a beautiful prayer in the Book of Ephesians:

Ephesians 1.17 That God of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of Glory may give onto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation on the knowledge of Him.

Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of His calling and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

When you pray these spirit ordained prayers for the person whom you want to be saved, God is going to open their spiritual eyes. He will honor your faith in this. Rest assured that God will not say no to His words. He will honor His word provided we do what He has asked us to do. He will open their spiritual eyes when you believe His word and speak it concerning salvation with authority. Expect it to come to pass.

There is a prayer that I want to share with you based on the following scriptures: Luke 19:10, Mathew 18:18, 2 Timothy 2:26, 2 Peter 3.9, Mark 11:23, Luke 10:2, Psalms 34:7, Isaiah 63:7, Romans 2:4

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I come before You in prayer and in faith. In your word you said, “all things are possible to him who believes”. I believe in my heart that You will perform Your word according to Jeremiah 1:12. Therefore by faith I stand on Your word without wavering and say that my family member/members ____________ (or whoever you are praying about) be saved. You wish above all things that all men be saved. Thank you for this wonderful promise. In the name of Jesus, I claim the salvation of ______________.

Dear God, send spirit filled laborers across their path to witness and pray for ______________. Thank you, Lord.

Satan in the name of Jesus, I bind your powers over ____________. In the name of Jesus, lose your assignment against ____________. By faith I break your power over ____________ and I claim their salvation.

Now dear Lord, we release angelic beings to do spiritual warfare on behalf of ____________ bringing full repentance and salvation. I praise You, Lord. Thank you that Your word is working all the time because You said it and I believed it. Glory to God. In the beautiful name of Jesus, amen!
